Philosophy of the Kerala tour:
- Periyar Safari needs to be booked online in advance.
- Kumarakom / Alleppy are the backwater place. There are no sightseeing at this place. One has to enjoy the backwaters & its scenic beauty.
- Drivers of South India cannot communicate in Hindi at all. They will only co-ordinate in English but their English is not very fluent .They follow the tour itinerary & will communicate only for the schedule & sightseeing places. They will not be able to guide or give complete details about any sightseeing place. Basically they are drivers & not guides.
Day wise travel itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Chennai and Drive to Mahabalipuram
- Arrive in Chennai and start your journey towards Mahabalipuram (approximately 60 km). Reach Mahabalipuram by afternoon and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing after your travel. In the evening, take a stroll around your hotel, soaking in the coastal vibes. Retire to your hotel by 7 PM to relax and have dinner.

Day 2 : Mahabalipuram to Tanjore
- Begin your day with a visit to the Shore Temple and the iconic Five Rathas. Continue exploring Arjuna’s Penance and the Krishna’s Butterball. After sightseeing, embark on your journey to Tanjore (approximately 290 km). Arrive in Tanjore by late afternoon, check into your hotel, and rest for the evening, ensuring you’re settled by 7 PM.

Day 3 : Tanjore to Madurai

Day 6 : Rameswaram to Kanyakumari
- Leave Rameswaram in the morning and drive towards Kanyakumari (approximately 310 km). On arrival, visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Thiruvalluvar Statue. In the afternoon, explore the Kanyakumari Temple and enjoy the scenic views at Sunset Point. Check into your hotel by 7 PM to unwind and relax.
